DH-Robotics RGI-100-14 Infinite-Rotation Electric Gripper
RGI-100-14 combines a two-jaw parallel grip with a rotary output: 30–100 N per jaw and 14 mm total stroke. Rotary output is rated 0.5 N·m, with 1.5 N·m peak; payload and angular-positioning conditions are detailed below.
Choosing this model
Read the product documentationSourcebotics selection notes, based on the published documentation.
Application fit
- Compact tube or small-part grip-and-rotate stations needing 14 mm total opening travel and 30–100 N per-jaw force.
Integration planning
- Size the 24 V DC ±10% supply for the 4 A peak demand and check the delivered cable pinout, I/O polarity and hardware revision.
- Specify external protocol conversion and the robot-side plugin separately; a PC USB adapter does not make USB a native gripper port.
- Assess fingertip geometry, friction, center-of-mass offset, acceleration and the separate Fz/Mx/My/Mz limits before accepting a workpiece load.
Selection considerations
- Keep rated rotary torque (0.5 N·m), peak output (1.5 N·m), and external allowable moments separate.
- For reversing or precise angular seating, assess the documented geared backlash. Repeatability alone is not an absolute positioning specification.
- Obtain an allowable load-inertia and duty-cycle assessment for the complete fingers and workpiece; no inertia limit is inferred from the torque figure.
- The English webpage lists 1.28 kg for both gripper mass and recommended workpiece weight. The exact-model English leaflet and Chinese catalog distinguish 1.28 kg mass from the 1.5 kg recommended load; use the catalog's fingertip and friction conditions.
- The CN-2025.08 reference is 0.45 s opening and 0.25 s closing over full stroke; the English webpage retains 0.6 s for each direction. Confirm timing for the delivered revision and application.

Discuss this configurationFAQ
Is this a dexterous robotic hand?
It is an industrial rotary electric gripper with two coupled fingers. It adds a separate rotary output to the gripping motion. Formal total and active joint counts are not established in the reviewed documents.
Is the recommended load an unconditional payload rating?
No. The 1.5 kg reference includes fingertips and assumes pure-friction gripping, coefficient 0.2 and safety factor 4. Fingertip geometry, center of mass, contact material and motion must be assessed. Fz and allowable Mx/My/Mz loads are separate structural limits.
Which interfaces and software should be specified?
Quote the native Modbus RTU/RS485 configuration and the required I/O polarity, hardware revision and cable. Other fieldbuses need the listed external converter or custom configuration. Request robot-specific plugins and a USB-to-RS485 adapter separately; the PC setup utility is not proof of an open SDK or tested integration.
Does ±0.05° mean absolute angular accuracy?
No. CN-2025.08 labels this repeatability and also notes about 1–2° geared backlash. Obtain an angular acceptance method and the permitted rotating inertia for the fingers and workpiece; rated and peak torque do not establish those limits.
