Dexterous Robotic Hands from China
China now ships more dexterous robotic hands than the rest of the world combined — at price points from $1,400 for a 6-DOF gripper-class hand to $28k for fully sensorized research flagships. This page lists every model we track, with manufacturer-reported specs, price bands and interfaces side by side. Figures marked † are manufacturer-reported and not yet independently verified; we re-check the catalog quarterly.

Dexterous Hands FAQ
Are Chinese dexterous hands actually reliable?
Volume is the honest proxy: makers shipping thousands of units annually have MTBF data and spare-part pipelines that low-volume Western hands structurally can't match. Ask any supplier for cycle-life test data — the serious ones publish 100k+ cycle figures.
Fully-actuated or underactuated — which do I need?
For grasping known objects in industry, 6 active DOF underactuated is cheaper and more robust. For manipulation research, VLA data collection, or in-hand reorientation, pay for 12+ active DOF and tactile.
Can I get one hand as a sample?
Yes — MOQ is 1 for every hand we list. Single research units are normal business; we video-inspect your serial-numbered unit before it ships.
How do DOF counts differ between spec sheets?
Some makers count total joints (active + coupled), others only actuated joints. We list both wherever the supplier discloses them — the 'Active' column is the number that matters for control.
Do these hands work with my robot arm?
Most ship with ISO 9409-1-50 flange adapters or vendor-specific wrist plates, plus EtherCAT / CAN FD / RS-485 / USB options. Send us your wrist and comms setup with the RFQ and we confirm compatibility before quoting.
