FAQ
Why solid-state over a spinning hemispherical unit?
No moving parts means vibration tolerance and lifetime on mobile bases, and the 90° vertical FOV sees the floor at the robot's wheels and eye level simultaneously. Trade-off: 120° horizontal — you may need two units for full coverage.
Automotive-grade — does that matter for robots?
It inherits automotive reliability processes and mass-production pricing. For fleets, that maturity usually beats boutique robotics sensors.
