FAQ
Why has PiPER become the manipulation-learning default?
It sits exactly at the price-capability point imitation-learning rigs need: real 1.5 kg payload and 0.1 mm repeatability at $2,499, with ROS support and leader-follower teleop kits. Two arms plus teleop still cost less than one Western cobot.
PiPER or a Dobot/UR-class cobot?
PiPER is a research arm — no industrial safety certification. For collaborative deployment around untrained staff, buy a certified industrial cobot instead.
