FAQ

What does the prosthetics heritage buy me?

Cycle life and failure-mode maturity: a hand engineered for daily human wear has been through reliability testing most robot-only hands haven't. Ask for their published cycle-life data in the RFQ.

Is 10 joints enough for research?

For grasping, teleop data collection and material-aware manipulation, yes. For fine in-hand reorientation you'll want a 12+ active-DOF fully-actuated hand instead.
