xArm 6 or xArm 7?
The 7-axis xArm 7 adds a redundant joint for obstacle avoidance and dexterity in constrained cells; the 6-axis xArm 6 is simpler and cheaper for standard pick-and-place. Choose 7 only if you actually need the extra DOF.
Is it a safety-rated cobot?
The xArm line is widely used as a research/light-industrial arm rather than a certified safety cobot; verify the exact certification for collaborative operation with the supplier before deploying around people.
